Meteorology expect scattered rainfall within next 24 hours

SANAA, Jun. 19 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected scattered rainfall on most of the Yemeni provinces within the next 24 hours.

The center stated in its weather bulletin on Saturday, “that the weather in the mountainous heights will be clear to partly cloudy with scattered rain on the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Hajjah, Mahwait, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Raymah, Dhalea, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout.”

The center stressed that the weather in the coastal areas would be warm, with the southwesterly winds reaching its speed of 15 to 25 knots on the eastern and southern coasts.

While the weather in the Socotra archipelago will be partly cloudy, and the winds are southwesterly and active, reaching a maximum speed of 40 knots, working to disturb the sea and high waves.

The center also warned citizens of desert areas, interior plateaus, coastal plains against extremely heat-wave and dusty weather, as well as citizens in areas where rain would be expected to avoid being in valleys and flood channels.
