Sudanese Communist Party vows to topple Hamdok’s government

SANAA, Jun. 17 (YPA) – The Political Secretary of the Communist Party of Sudan, Muhammad Mukhtar Al-Khatib, said that his party will work to bring down the government of Abdullah Hamdok.

He explained during a press conference that the Sudanese Communist Party will work to “overthrow the government based on the slogans of the revolution based on the principle of peace, through mass mobilization and civil disobedience.”

Al-Khatib warned against the policies of the transitional government, considering that they follow the same policies of the isolated regime (Omar al-Bashir’s regime), and said, “We warn the government against pursuing the policies of the former regime, because the matter has led to famine in various parts of Sudan.”

Al-Khatib called on the government to take measures to prevent famine, including declaring an agricultural emergency and directing capabilities to save the summer agricultural season in irrigated projects, in addition to providing seeds and harvest aids and increasing the agricultural area.
