Citizen killed, another injured in clashes between pro-coalition factions in Lahj

LAHJ, Jun. 14 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and another wounded on Monday during armed confrontations between the Saudi-led coalition factions in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Local sources reported that violent clashes took place between the forces of the so-called “security belt” funded by the UAE, and the forces of the so-called “Southern Resistance” in “Al-Musaimir” district, which resulted in the killing of a citizen and the injury of another.

The sources pointed out that the cause of the clashes came after leaders of the so-called “Southern Resistance” demanded a change of the security director, adding that the tense situation in the area is still existing until the moment.
