Grand Mufti of Yemen: Saudi Arabia takes decisions on Hajj in isolation from the rest of Muslims

SANAA, Jun. 13 (YPA) – The Grand Mufti of Yemen, scholar, Shamsaddin Sharaf al-Din  objected to Saudi Arabia as it takes its decisions regarding Hajj in isolation from the rest of Muslims and without consulting with Islamic countries.

“The Saudi regime is an intruder of the Islamic Nation and is fighting Islam from where Muslims are not paying attention to,” he said.

“If Saudi Arabia is keen on people’s lives and comfort, why does it restrict the sounds of mosques while allowing the sounds of nightclubs?” he asked.

Grand Mufti  added that the Saudi regime claims in its decisions to care about people’s lives, so how does it allow gatherings in places of entertainment and play and prevent them during Hajj.

He pointed out that the Saudi regime led the Islamic Nation to submit to the US-Zionist project in the region and betrayed Islam and Muslims.

On Saturday , The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has announced that the Hajj for the year 2021 will be restricted to citizens and residents inside the Kingdom, with a maximum total of 60,000 pilgrims.

According to the ministry, this decision was taken due to the continuing developments of the Covid-19 pandemic and the emergence of new mutations in the world.
