SANAA, Jun. 11 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected on Friday clear weather to partly cloudy in the western mountainous highlands during the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin, the center explained the weather in the mountainous heights is clear to partly cloudy with the possibility of scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Hajjah, Raymah, Mahwait and Dhamar.
In the coastal areas, the weather would be clear to partly cloudy, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35-38 degrees Celsius, and moderate winds reaching its speed of 20 knots.
The center stated that the weather in the desert areas would be relatively dusty and hot, , with a heat-wave ranging between 38-45 degrees Celsius, and winds from northeast to southeasterly reaching 22 knots.
In the Socotra archipelago, “the weather will be partly cloudy, with active winds reaching speeds of up to 30 knots.”
The center warned sea-goers and fishermen around the Socotra archipelago and the eastern Gulf of Aden of sea high waves.
