Sanaa: Supreme Judicial Council dismisses 3 judges

SANAA, Jun.08 (YPA) – Supreme Judicial Council in Sanaa has approved the impeachment penalty for three judges who have violated their duties in accordance with the law.

At its weekly meeting on Monday, chaired by Head on the Council, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakel, the Council agreed  to institute disciplinary proceeding actions against a judge and refer him to the accounting council  on the basis of the facts attributed to him by the Judicial Inspectorate.

It also approved the consolidated final account of the bodies and organs of the judiciary for the fiscal year ending 2020, at the presentation of the Secretary-General of the Council, and directed the completion of the necessary procedures in accordance with the law.

The Council discussed the memorandum of the Head of the Judicial Inspectorate on the proposal to extend the spatial jurisdiction of the trial courts in Bayda governorate, and postponed the decision on the matter for further study to an upcoming meeting.
