Pro-coalition commander killed in Marib

MARIB, Jun 5 (YPA) – A senior commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition was killed on Saturday in the city of Marib, local sources said.

The sources affirmed that a violent explosion targeted the fuel station of the “administrative base” of the coalition forces inside the “third military region” in “Sahn al-Jin” area north of the city.

The former leader of the Islah armed groups in the Nehim, “Mabkhout Al-Haythami”, was killed in the explosion, in addition to the killing and wounding of dozens of officers and recruits.

The sources indicated that the explosion occurred while a large squadron of military vehicles was filling fuel from the station in preparation for heading towards the desert area separating the north of the city of Marib and Khanjar camp in Yatma desert east of Jawf province.
