President Al-Mashat stresses importance of coordination between legislative, executive authorities

SANAA, Jun. 05 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Saturday stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and strengthening coordination between the legislative and executive authorities to overcome the challenges imposed by the aggression and siege.

This came during his meeting in Sanaa with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, and his two deputies, Abdulsalam Zabiyah and Abdulrahman Al-Juma`i.

At the meeting, they confirmed Yemen’s refusal to create any military bases on the Yemeni island of Mayoun by the aggression coalition countries, considering this a violation of Yemeni sovereignty and international laws and covenants.

The meeting dealt with the developments on the national arena, in light of the continued aggression and siege, as well as the efforts and endeavors of the political leadership in Sanaa to bring peace to Yemen.
