Iranian official: Perpetrators of deadly crimes against Yemeni people must be brought to int’l justice
SANAA, Jun 3 (YPA) – Adviser to the leader of the Islamic Revolution for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, said that the perpetrators of the deadly crimes against the Yemeni people must be brought to justice in the international arena.
Velayati told Press TV”, “What the seekers of freedom in the world expect is to stop the massacre committed against the Yemeni women and children and to prosecute the perpetrators of crimes against the Yemeni nation in international institutions.”
Velayati’s statement came during a virtual conference on Yemen, organized by the World Islamic Awakening Symposium, in which Velayati is its Secretary-General.
The Secretary-General of the symposium praised the Yemeni people and the resistance, saying: “They endured all adversities, proved their courage and did not surrender in the face of their enemy armed with advanced weapons.”
He expressed his gratitude to the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, for his stances and steadfastness, which led to one of the most wonderful phases of confrontation against the arrogant global powers, led by the criminal United States and its regional agents.
Velayati went to say that tens of thousands of Yemenis died during the war, amid the bravery of the army and popular forces who did not give up protecting and defending Yemen.
Velayati noted that the country’s defenders are defying “the most advanced weapons provided from the United States, France and Britain provided to Saudi Arabia to commit the brutal massacre of the oppressed and defenseless Yemeni people.”
