UAE-backed parties try to drag Mahra into conflict: Activist

MAHRA, Jun. 02 (YPA) – Head of Shehn peaceful sit-in committee in Mahra province, Sheikh Hamid Za’banoot, has accused the UAE-backed parties, including “Abdullah bin Issa”, of trying to drag Mahra into an internal conflict.

“Some parties within Mahra supported by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), which have agreed to be among the tools of the Saudi-Emirati occupation, are trying today to gather and mobilize in the districts of Mahra with the aim of provoking sedition and conflict within the province,” Za’banoot said in a sires of tweets on Tweeter.

He added “this is what we reject, and call on the wise men to remedy the matter.”

“We have noticed in the recent period the return of movements of people who lack legitimacy within the Mahra’s society in several districts, which come within the framework of the continuous provocation to drag the province into an internal conflict and a repetition of the scenario of what happened in Socotra and Aden,” he explained.

Za’banoot called on all the people of Mahra to reject everything that would target the social fabric of the people of the province.
