ADEN, May 31 (YPA) – Armed elements belonging to the so-called “Aden Security” stormed the headquarters of the Immigration and Passports Authority in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.
According to local sources in the city, the armed elements imposed their control over the authority building in Khormaksar area, demanding the provision of cash incentives for food and fuel for security cars.
The sources affirmed that the gunmen prevented the entry and exit of employees, amid threats to stop work, until achieving all their demands.
The Department of Immigration and Passports addressed the director of Aden security, which is affiliated with the Saudi-backed Islah Party, that there was no revenue to cover the demands of the armed elements, the sources added.
