BAGDAD, May 30 (YPA) – Iraq’s parliament on Saturday passed a law granting Palestinians living in the country , rights enjoyed by a native.
According to the Al-Sumaria News, the law grants a Palestinian who has lived for 10 years in Iraq the treatment of the Iraqis for rights and duties.
It noted that although the law grants Palestinians all the rights as the Iraqi citizens, it excludes them from Iraqi citizenship and participates in the elections as a candidate and a vote, to preserve his right to return to his homeland.
According to media reports, some 3,500 Palestinians living in Iraq are being deployed in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region.
