SANAA, May 27 (YPA) – The Chinese embassy in Washington has condemned attempts to accuse Beijing of “laboratory leakage” of the Corona virus, and this comes after US President Joe Biden’s statements, that he does not rule out this hypothesis.

The Chinese embassy said on its website: “Last year’s lesson is still fresh in our memories. At a time when the epidemic is taking a heavy toll on the world today, and the international community is waiting for better coordination between countries, some people are still resorting to their old guidelines. We can only ask if they left this bitter lesson in the past so early? Or do they want to repeat the tragedies? ”
The embassy indicated in its statement that “Not long ago, some people tried to play an old trick to draw attention to themselves about the issue of the origin of the Corona virus,” and considered that the statements accusing Beijing of being behind the outbreak of the epidemic, are “a campaign of defamation and to revive the theory of conspiracy and laboratory leakage.” .
The Chinese embassy confirmed that “some political forces have tried to direct public opinion, and accusations have been brought since the beginning of the epidemic, adding that politicizing the investigation will make it difficult to determine the source of the virus.
