Report: Army targets Saudi troops, shoots down Apache over 24 hours
SANAA, June 1 (YPA) – Yemen army has carried out military offensive operations, including artillery, missile and sniping attacks, against Saudi soldiers and their militias and also shot down an Apache helicopter over the past 24 hours, according to military reports combined by Yemen Press Agency on Friday.
- In Saudi border province of Jizan:
The air defenses of the army shot down Saudi apache in Jahfan, killing all its crew.
Seven of the Saudi soldiers and their militias were sniped in Ma’ayen valley.
Artillery shelling targeted gatherings of Saudi soldiers and their militias in Abu-Math camp, northern Mabkhara site, Barj-Mahadaf site, and northern Shabaka in Jahfan mount.
A 14.5-sprinkle belonging to coalition’s militants was damaged in Ma’ayen valley by RPG shell.
- In Najran border province:
A military vehicle, loaded with militias, were destroyed by an explosive device in the west of Sudais site, killing who were on board.
Artillery force of the army shelled gatherings of Saudi-backed militias in west Sudais site.
- In Asir Saudi border province:
An advance of militias was repelled in front of Alb border crossing, killing and wounding dozens.
- In Taiz province:
Engineering unit of the army destroyed two of militias’ military vehicles by two explosive devices in west coast front, killing all their crews
Two military vehicle of the militias were burned in Waze’aia junction.
Artillery force destroyed a militias’ military vehicle, carrying a sprinkle gun, in Ozaifira.
Dozens of the Saudi-backed militias were killed and wounded when the army targeted their gatherings in Selw district by artillery shells.
