‘Tawoos’ discusses with Iran’s ambassador humanitarian crisis in Yemen

SANAA, May 26 (YPA) – The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, met on Wednesday with Iran’s ambassador in Sanaa, Hassan Erlo.

The meeting discussed issues related to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen as a result of the aggression and blockade for more than six years.

In the meeting, Tawoos indicated that the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression, and the blockade and the starvation policy pursued by the aggression countries have caused further harm to the Yemeni people.

He affirmed that the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs continues to mobilize aid and provides public services to citizens as much as possible to alleviate the humanitarian disaster that the country is going through.

For his part, the Iranian ambassador affirmed Tehran’s readiness to provide humanitarian aid to Yemen to alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe it is going through as a result of the aggression and siege.
