15 Al-Qaeda members killed, 30 wounded in Marib

MARIB, May 25 (YPA) – At least 15 Al-Qaeda organization members were killed and 30 others wounded on Tuesday in an ambush set by the Yemeni army and popular committees (Sanaa forces) in the west of Marib city, local sources said.

The sources explained that the Al-Qaeda operatives were exposed to artillery shelling by Sanaa forces while they were establishing new military outpost in west of Marib.

According to the sources, the Sanaa forces stationed in ‘Al-Mashjah” mountain bombed the site with artillery shells two days after it was established, as a new defensive line for Marib city, killing 15 people and wounding 30 other members of the terrorist organization.
