Aerial attack targets Islah militants’ camp in Abyan

ABYAN, May 25 (YPA) – A military camp belonging to Islah party, Yemeni branch of Muslim Brotherhood in Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Tuesday. was  exposed to an aerial attack,  local sources.

According to the local sources, powerful explosions rocked a camp of Islah factions near his stronghold in the eastern Abyan city of Shuqrah.

The sources noted that the blast was caused by an air strike carried out by a drone plane believed to be an  “Emirati or American”.

The shelling came as the Islah militants are mobilizing more troops to the lines of confrontations with the UAE-ncked Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias on the outskirts of Zinjibar district, including al-Qaeda and ISIS elements.

Local sources confirmed that the reform has been pushed  new reinforcements from its stronghold in Sieyun, Hadhramaut province, to join a previous batches  from Marib and Shabwah.

Moreover, the sources in Abyan revealed that Islah factions have begun displacing beekeepers from Wadi Salé as they reposition themselves with heavy weapons.

Abyan has been witnessing military mobilizations under the arrangement of a battle before the launch of the new round of Riyadh negotiations between the “Hadi government and STC” in southern Yemen. The new agreement is expected to be US – sponsored.
