GAZA, May 19 (YPA) – The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, on Tuesday evening, announced that it had targeted six Israeli military air bases in response to the raids on the coastal enclave.
The group said its missiles had struck the bases of Hatzor, Hatzerim, Nevatim, Tel Nof, Palmachim and Ramon.
The brigades added that the targeting of these air bases was “in response to barbaric Zionist raids in the southern Gaza Strip”.
At dawn on Wednesday, Palestinian factions fired a barrage of missiles towards several Israeli towns, while sirens sounded in all Gaza enclave towns following missile strikes.
Earlier Tuesday, the Al-Qassam Brigades said it had bombed the logistics base “Mischmar ha-Negev”, located on the northern tip of the Negev desert, with missiles
The military escalation between Hamas and the occupation continues for the ninth day in a row, leaving heavy material and human losses, amid stalled international efforts to reach a solution.
