SANAA, April 24 (YPA) – The UAE and Israel signed a cooperation agreement related to enhancing the quality of the health care sector in both countries.
The Emirates Foundation for Health Services revealed, on Thursday, that the agreement had been signed with the Israeli Ministry of Health, in the presence of the UAE Minister of Health, “Abdulrahman bin Muhammad Al Owais”.
The agreement included cooperation in areas related to enhancing the quality of the health care sector, enhancing electronic security and protecting health data, in addition to medical training, creativity and artificial intelligence, among other high-tech fields, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
In September 2020, Israel and the UAE signed an agreement to normalize diplomatic relations between them, under American auspices.
Since the normalization agreement and at an accelerated pace, the UAE and Israel have signed cooperation agreements in almost all fields, including sports, diplomacy, economy, trade, tourism and the aviation sector, while delegations from the two countries have exchanged visits.
The agreement was met with widespread Palestinian condemnation, as the Palestinian factions and leadership considered it a “betrayal” by the Emirates and a “stab” in the back of the Palestinian people.
