Season of catching coastal shrimp in Red Sea closed as of April 15

SANAA, April 14 (YPA) – The Ministry of Fisheries in the National Salvation Government announced on Tuesday the closure of the season of catching coastal shrimp from Yemeni marine waters in the Red Sea, starting from April 15 until further notice.

The Ministry warned, in a statement, all those who engage in fishing in the Red Sea region from the marine waters of the Republic of Yemen against shrimp fishing during the closing period.

The statement confirmed that those who violate the provisions of the decision will be punished with the penalty specified in the law regulating fishing.
