America pledges to Israel that Iran will not obtain nuclear weapon

SANAA, April 13 (YPA) – The White House announced on Tuesday that the United States and Israel have held strategic consultations to discuss the issue of Iran.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the United States is “committed to ensuring that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.” The two sides agreed to hold a “close and open” dialogue in the coming months.

Iran accused Israel of being behind the Natanz reactor accident, which occurred on April 11, in the electrical power distribution network at the nuclear facility, which led to the disruption of a number of centrifuges intended for uranium enrichment.

Tehran indicated that Israel did so in an attempt to thwart the negotiations on the nuclear deal, which were resumed in Vienna in the presence of the United States of America.

The accident occurred amid diplomatic efforts to revive the nuclear deal that Tehran concluded in 2015 with world powers. Israel strongly opposes the agreement from which former US President Donald Trump withdrew nearly three years ago.
