KABUL, April 04 (YPA) – At least 28 Taliban militants were killed on Sunday in airstrikes launched by government warplanes in the southern province of Kandahar in Afghanistan.
“The raids also destroyed two tanks and several vehicles belonging to the movement,” said Jamal Barkzai, spokesman for the local security services.
For its part, the Afghan Ministry of Defense said that the ongoing counter-terror operation in several areas of the country has culminated in the killing of more than 100 militants. The ministry added that the security forces uncovered 32 explosive devices planted by the Taliban, and they were neutralized.
