YPC: Saudi-led coalition seizes 2 new fuel ships

SANAA, April 02 (YPA) – The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) on Thursday night said that “the US-Saudi aggression coalition seized two new ships carrying 41,402 tons of diesel and prevented them from entering the port of Hodeida.

The official spokesman for YPC, Essam Al-Mutawakel, explained that the two vessels were held came after they were searched and obtained UN permits, noting that the number of ships detained by the coalition has reached 10 oil vessels.

Al-Mutawakel added that the transporting shipping companies recently withdrew two of the detained fuel ships that were held by the coalition.

He referred to the suffering of citizens after many service sectors suspended providing their services due to the lack of fuel as a result of the coalition’s continued detention of oil ships.
