Islah controls coastal road linking Abyan, Shabwa

ABYN, March 31 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah militants managed to be able to control on Wednesday, over the coastal road linking the provinces of Abyan and Shabwa, in southern Yemen.

According to local sources in Abyan, a director of security of the province, Abu Mishaal Al-Kazami, loyal to Islah Party, moved a military and security force from Shakra coastal area to take control of Ahwar district and put an end to the security chaos made by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) elements in the area.

The sources pointed out that the Islah militants had arrested a number of STC’s militia members and accused them of cut off on travelers in Ahwar area.
