MARIB, March 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Monday took control of new strategic sites in the vicinity of the northwestern city of Marib.
According to sources, the army advanced towards strategic areas north of the city after being controlled positions in “hilltops in al-Kassara area.
The sources added the after the coalition forces and al-Qaeda militants were inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment.
During the past hours, the army forces were able to fully control over Hama Al Hamra and Hamat al-Dha’ab areas, which led to killing and wounding a number of the coalition forces, including “Mansour Thawaba”, the commander of the 3th Military Region.
