Joint operation strikes targets in Saudi Arabia

SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition said on Sunday that the kingdom had been hit by two double ground and naval attacks.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, citing the coalition’s statement.

Saudi media quoted Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki as saying that the attack was carried out by two drones and two boats, adding that the planes targeted the southern areas without specifying the targets.

But King Khalid’s military base in Khamis Mushit is often targeted in such attacks. The target of the two boats was not specified.

The announcement of the attack comes ahead of a forthcoming meeting between US and UN envoys with Saudi officials on the peace process in Yemen.

The National Salivation Government’s military spokesman has not yet commented on the operation.
