SANAA, March 27 (YPA) – A senior Yemeni activist, Tawakkol Karman, called for ending the Saudi-Emirati interference in Yemen.
“The road to lasting peace begins with taking important steps that relieve the burden on the Yemeni people,” Karman said in a statement published on Facebook, in conjunction with marking the seventh anniversary of the aggressive war on Yemen.
“It must end the Saudi-Emirati control of Yemeni ports and airports, which have turned into military barracks and detention centers where crimes are committed against Yemeni opponents and activists,” she added.
“To ensure a serious peace process, it will be necessary to refer the Yemen file to the International Criminal Court to try war criminals from all sides,” she affirmed.
The war on Yemen have been launched by the coalition on March 26, 2015, as the Yemeni governorates witnessed on Friday mass rallies celebrating the “National Resilience Day that emphasized the need to end the war on Yemen and lift the comprehensive siege on Yemen.
