Saudi authorities arrest several female activists

SANAA, March 25 (YPA) – The Saudi authorities have arrested a number of young women against the background of their activities and tweets on social media, according to the “Prisoners of Conscience website.

The website said on stated that among the detainees was a pregnant woman, blaming the Saudi authorities full responsibility for her safety.

The female activities were arrested after their accounts on “Instagram” and “Snapchat” were hacked and their true identities revealed.

The new arrests comes a few weeks after Saudi Arabia released non-Islamist political prisoners after being criticized the new US administration headed by “Joe Biden.”
