MARIB, March 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni Islah Party’s militias loyal to Saudi-led Coalition is preparing to launch a military campaign against Al-Ashraf tribes, south of Marib city, local sources in the city reported on Wednesday.
The sources said that the so-called “Special Forces” affiliated with Islah began mobilizing their forces to launch a new military campaign targeting the Al-Ashraf tribes in ‘Al-Banin’ area, south of the city of Marib.
The campaign came under the directives of the local authority leadership in Marib province, which is dominated by the Islah party, the sources added.
On July 4, 2019, the Islah militia launched a military campaign that led to burning their homes and killing women and children, after the Islahi leader and parliamentarian Mohammed Al-Hazmi carried out an armed robbery on the lands of Al-Ashraf in Marib city.
