Medical sources: Coronavirus cases increase in southern provinces

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – Medical sources in the provinces under the control of the “Hadi government and Saudi-led coalition” revealed on Tuesday the expansion of the Coronavirus spread in those provinces.

The sources said that the cases that were recorded during the past 24 hours amounted to 96 cases in five provinces, including 36 cases recorded in Aden city, 30 in Hadramout, 12 in Taiz, eight in Shabwa, four in Marib, three in Mahra, and three cases in Lahj.

The sources indicated that 14 deaths from the virus were recorded in the provinces of Hadramout, Aden, Shabwa, and Mahra.

Since last April, the number of infection cases reached 3,612, including 785 deaths and 1,566 recovered, according to the sources.

It is noteworthy that the provinces under the control of the coalition and the Hadi’s government are witnessing the spread of the new Coronavirus, especially with the opening of airports and ports for arrivals from abroad.
