Mass suicide attempt in Mukalla prison

HADRAMOUT, March 22 (YPA) – Detainees attempted on Monday to suicide inside a prison in al-Mukalla city, capital of Hadramout province.

The head of the Defense Foundation for Rights and Freedoms, Huda -Sarai confirmed that the prisoners tried to commit suicide, protesting against their tragic conditions, without indicating the number of prisoners.

Huda declared on its account on Twitter that prisoners are exposed to inhuman practices inside the central prison.

Sam organization called on the international community to intervene urgently to stop the prisoners’ suicide attempts in the central al-Mukalla prison.
