47 members of security belt killed by Al-Qaeda attacks in Abyan

ABYAN, March 20 (YPA) – At least 47 elements of the so-called “security belt force” funded the UAE in Abyan province were killed and 27 others wounded in 15 terrorist operations carried out by Al-Qaeda members during the past period, a leader in the security belt said on Saturday.

Abdullatif Al-Sayed, commander of the security belt in Abyan, accused Islah Party of turning the central areas of the province into a den for terrorist elements.

Al-Qaeda operatives spread in Abyan after the presence of an incubator for them from some of the Islah brigades, Al-Sayed explained.

He pointed out that the so-called “legitimacy” has brought terrorist organizations into its areas to protect its backs.

The security belt commander vowed to respond harshly and pursue terrorist elements to their dens.
