Red Sea Ports Corp. reveals falsity of Saudi-led coalition media

HODEIDA, March 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation on Wednesday denied what the Saudi-led coalition media outlets are promoting about the entry of dozens of oil tankers into the berths of Hodeida port.

The Corporation affirmed, in a statement, that “these allegations are baseless and come in the context of misinformation, fraud and media warfare adopted by the coalition to justify maritime piracy against fuel ships and the continued impeding the entry of goods and humanitarian needs.”

The statement indicated that since the beginning of the year 2021, no fuel tanker has ever reached the docks of the port of Hodeida.

The statement confirmed that the coalition forces are currently holding 13 oil ships, including nine ships from 2020, and four ships from last January and February, considering these measures blatant violations of international laws and norms.

In its statement, the Corporation called on the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, the United Nations special envoy, and all international organizations to end the suffering of the Yemeni people by stopping the aggression, lifting the blockade, and allowing the entry of ships of oil derivatives and foodstuffs.
