STC says Islah Party seeks to storm Aden by Saudi armored vehicles

ADEN, March 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) said on Wednesday that Saudi-backed Islah Party seeks to storm Aden city through Saudi armored vehicles.

A member of the National Assembly of the STC, Waddah bin Attia, confirmed on Twitter that a political current inside Saudi Arabia wants an escalation with the STC in Aden.

He pointed out that the sons of the southern governorates have been stabbed through the systematic torture exercised by Islah militants, which was trying to storm Aden using dozens of Saudi armored vehicles.

On Tuesday, thousands of protesters in Aden stormed Aden’s presidential al-Maasheeq Palace in massive demonstrations against the government of Hadi, deterioration of economic conditions and the rise in food prices, chanting slogans insulting Saudi Arabia.
