Parliament Speaker calls for strengthening performance in combating corruption

SANAA, March 09 (YPA) – The Parliament Speaker Yahya Al-Ra’i on Tuesday stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of the regulatory agencies and enhancing the supervisory performance in combating corruption.

This came during his meeting with Head of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC), Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghashm, who handed him the periodic report of the Authority, which includes its achievements for the second half of the year 2020.

Al-Ra’i urged the authority to exert more efforts in combating corruption, confirming the Parliament’s support for the authority’s efforts in this aspect.

In turn, Al-Ghashm expressed his appreciation for the role of the Speaker of Parliament in support of the SNACC and the role of the Parliament in strengthening the supervisory work.
