Hadi gov’t accuses STC of looting weapons from Marib

MARIB, March 08 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Hadi’s government accused on Monday the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia of looting weapons from Marib city.

A journalist loyal to with the Saudi-led coalition, Marwan Al-Ahmadi, said on Twitter that the STC’s reinforcements coming from the southern province that crossed long distances aimed at arming and returning to their provinces.

“The STC pushes most of the sons of the southern provinces to obtain weapons only, in reference to the looting and smuggling of weapons to southern Yemen,” he added.

Last week, Al-Ahmadi confirmed, that the governor of Marib, appointed by the coalition, “Sultan Al-Arada,” looted thirty million Saudi riyals.
