STC arrests commander in Aden

ADEN, March 07 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia on Sunday arrested a military commander and a number of civilians after a campaign of raids in Aden province, southern Yemen.

According to sources, the militia the Colonel Nazih Al-Azibi, after storming his home in Dar Saad district.

The sources added that the militia also stormed a house of journalist, Ahmed Maher, loyal to former Minister of Interior in Hadi government, Ahmed Al-Maysari, kidnapping his brother, “Mayas,” and looting his personal car.

This came after the kidnappings of a number of protesters on Saturday in Sheikh Othman district, because of their participation in the demonstrations condemning the deterioration of essential and economic services.
