UAE builds military aircraft runway on Island of Mayun

TAIZ, March 03 (YPA) – Satellite images revealed the size of the UAE-Israeli military base on the Yemeni island of Mayyun, near  the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The images showed that the UAE had built a military runway, as well as military buildings on the island.

The UAE moved its military base from Eritrea in the second half of February to the southern Red Sea island of Mayyun.

Last month, Israeli military experts confirmed the presence of a naval submarine and Israeli missile vessels in Bab al-Mandab to counter the Yemeni army forces.

Israeli experts boasted of the presence of their warships in Bab al-Mandab, describing that presence as exceptional successes during the current phase.
