HADRAMOUT, Feb. 28 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah party militants moved on Sunday to create new military sites in Hadramout province, east of Yemen, according to sources.
The sources affirmed that the First Military Region’s fighters and officers loyal to the leader of the Islah party, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, established the military sites on the road leading to the city of Mukalla, the capital of the province.
The sources added that “Hadrami Elite” militia, affiliated to the UAE, moved with a military force to the area to confront the Islah militants, but local mediation managed to de-escalate the military tension between the two parties.
