Several hospitals in Sanaa announce stopping medical services due to lack of fuel

SANAA, Feb. 28 (YPA) – A number of hospitals in the capital Sanaa declared on Sunday that their medical services would be stopped due to the lack of fuel.

In a news statement to Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni, the director of the Public Health Office in the capital, called on the World Health Organization, UNICEF and international organizations to provide oil derivatives to hospitals and health centers in a way that guarantees the continuation of the medical services and avoiding a humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen.

He affirmed that a number of hospitals and health centers in the capital have stopped providing medical services due to the running out of fuel, blaming the Saudi-led coalition countries and the United Nations full responsible for the catastrophic repercussions on the health sector.
