High gasoline prices rise anger of citizens in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 27 (YPA) – The prices of oil derivatives increased on Saturday at fuel stations in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, sparked a wave of anger among citizens.

Local sources in the city reported that the price of a gallon of 20-liter gasoline exceeded 9,800 riyals at the city stations, with an increase of 2,200 riyals.

The sources attributed the reasons for the rise in oil derivatives to the increase in the value of foreign currencies against the Yemeni riyal, which is witnessing a significant decline in the southern provinces, according to the “Aden” news website.

Citizens expressed their great dissatisfaction with the exorbitant rise of fuel princes, considering that doubles their suffering.

The Saudi-led coalition continues to suffocate the people of the southern province and fabricate crises, in contrast to what its media used to propagate that the war on Yemen was to liberate them and make the economic conditions comparable to the Gulf countries.
