Pro-coalition military leader assassinated in Saada

SAADA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – A military leader in the ranks of Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Wednesday in mysterious circumstances in Al-Boqa area in the Yemeni border with Saudi Arabia.

Captain Abu Abdullah Al-Wadaei, one of leaders of the so-called “Military Police” of the coalition forces in Saada, was assassinated this afternoon when an explosive device planted in the car of the Military Police Commander exploded in ‘Al-Buqa axis’, private sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources pointed out that Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Gharbani “Abu Omar”, commander of the military police branch in Saada province, and Lieutenant Colonel Himiar Bashir”, the police’s human power officer, suspiciously survived the explosion.

The so-called “Al-Boqa axis” is witnessing major liquidations among the coalition officers and recruits. On February 17, seven members of the military police were killed and wounded on as a result of an explosive device blast targeted their patrol in Al-Buqa desert.
