Several wounded in missile attack on US embassy in Baghdad

SANAA, Feb. 23 (YPA) – Media sources in Iraq reported that Katyusha shells landed in the vicinity of the government’s Green Zone in central Baghdad, injuring a number of people.

According to initial reports, Four rockets hit the US embassy in Baghdad.

The US Embassy has been targeted several times this year, amid heightened anti-American sentiments in the Arab country in the aftermath of the US assassination of Iran’s anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, and the deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, in Baghdad on January 3, 2020.
