ADEN, Jan. 29 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Aden-based interim cabinet of resigned President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi was transported late on Sunday from chaos-torn Aden to a safe place, a mediator of truce committee said.
The mediator Fadhal Hassn wrote on his Twitter page that chief of the cabinet Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghr along with his cabinet members, as well as some official from the country’s north, were transferred from the presidential Ma’ashiq palace to unknown safe place.
The move came hours after the separatist militants loyal to the occupying United Arab Emirates’ forces took control over the premier’s headquarters in Aden and other military camps following fierce clashes with the militants loyal to Saudi-backed Hadi.
On Sunday, the street deadly clashes killed at least 20 people and wounded over 130 others, according to health deputy minister Jalal Ba-Othah.
The fighting erupted after the separatist movement gave a deadline to exiled, resigned president Hadi to reshuffle his cabinet over accusations of corruption.
However, local monitors said the fighting between the rival Yemeni forces erupted over vying to control the south.
