SHABWA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – Dozens of teachers in Ataq city of Shabwa organized on Sunday a protest rally to condemn the deterioration of living conditions in the province.
At the rally, the protesters raised banners denouncing the high prices of food due to the collapse of the currency and the economic deterioration.
They demanded the governor of the province, Mohammad Saleh bin Adiou, appointed by Hadi’s government, to fulfill his previous commitments to increase the dues of educators.
The Saudi-led coalition-held southern governorates have been witnessed a major economic deterioration as a result of the collapse of the local currency against foreign currencies, which caused rising foodstuff prices.
