Saudi prince attacks people celebrating release of al-Hadhloul from prison

SANAA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – A prominent Saudi prince criticized the celebrations and statements that followed the release of Saudi activist Loujain al-Hathloul,denouncing the attempts of unnamed parties to create imaginary heroes.

Sattam bin Khalid bin Nasser Al Saud said in a series of tweets: “They celebrated the release of the Saudi activist Loujain al-Hathloul after serving her sentence, however, they ignored hundreds of women and even thousands of detainees in prisons in Syria, Iraq, Israel and even in their countries and ignored the attacks against women practiced by their soldiers in several countries and their police in their own country.”

“The attempt to create imaginary heroes by the West for some personalities is aimed at penetrating societies intellectually and affecting them religiously, not as they claim, those who follow find great amplification in these cases as militants and in fact have not added anything to society and are also outcasts,” he added.
