SANAA, Feb. 11 (YPA) – Al-Thawra Model General Hospital Authority in the capital Sanaa launched a distress call to provide fuel to save the lives of patients in all departments.
In a statement, the authority warned against stopping its services, especially in the care, operations, emergency and dialysis departments, due to the lack of fuel as a result of maritime piracy and the continued detention of oil derivative ships by the coalition of aggression.
The statement indicated that the authority depends entirely on electric generators, and that it is unable to provide diesel to run the generators, stressing that the acts of marine piracy on fuel ships and their seizure will lead to a health disaster.
The authority called on the international community, the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to intervene quickly to lift the siege and put pressure on the countries of the coalition of aggression to allow the entry of oil derivative ships to the port of Hodeidah, in order to avoid an imminent humanitarian disaster.
