Triplets born at Sabeen hospital in Sanaa

SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – Sabeen Maternity and Child Hospital in the Capital Sanaa has witnessed the birth of triplets for a woman in her mid-40s by caesarean section.

Dr. Magda al-Khatib, director of the Sabeen hospital, told The Yemen News Agency (Saba) that  a mother has given a birth triplets . The babies’ weigh between 1,500 and 2,000 grams. They have left the hospital in good health.

She noted that the woman was from the Directorate of Bani al-Harith and had five children and today she had three triplets (two daughters and a boy)

Al-Khatib praised the efforts of the medical team that conducted the operation, headed by consultant obstetrician and obstetrician Dr. Munira Al-Faher, and obstetricians Saher Thamer and Iman Al-Montaser.

During the past year, the hospital has witnessed the birth of 181 twins with natural births and caesarean sections, the most recent of which is the birth of Siamese twins Ahmed and Mohammed al-Bukhiti, she said.

The hospital provided its services to the mother and child despite the difficulties it faced due to reducing the support of the organizations, and detaining  of oil ships by Saudi-led coalition .
