SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – The UN Security Council on Tuesday failed to agree on a joint statement on Syria.
The Council held closed consultations on the political settlement of the Syrian crisis, the first of its kind in a long time, according to France Press.
The UN special envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, urged the members of the UN Security Council to unify their stance to break the deadlock controlling the Syrian file, during a closed session in which he declared the “failure of the political track,” according to diplomats.
