SANAA, Feb. 8 (YPA) – The Sudanese Prime Minister, Abdullah Hamdok, on Sunday evening issued a decision to dissolve the transitional government in the country.
The official SUNA agency stated that Hamdok, based on the provisions of the constitutional document for the transitional period, issued a decision to exempt ministers and state ministers in the transitional period government from their positions, and to terminate the mandate of the ministers in charge of discharging the ministries ’burdens, provided that they remain in their positions to conduct business in their ministries until the new government is formed. And complete the delivery and receipt procedures.
Hamdok, according to the document, directed the Ministries of Cabinet Affairs, Finance, Economic Planning, Labor, Social Development and other concerned parties to take measures to implement the decision.
The Governing Partners Council, made up of representatives from the Sovereignty Council, ministers, the Forces of Freedom and Change and the Revolutionary Front that signed the peace agreement, agreed to form the new government headed by Hamdok after the dissolution of the previous cabinet.
“SUNA” stated that all ministerial portfolios have been resolved, except for the Ministry of Education, which is still conducting consultations on it, so that the formation of the new government will be announced on Monday.
